First off I guess I better explain what this project is about. I have chosen to photograph a sawmill. I will be working primarily at the Beecraigs sawmill, West Lothian. I have already secured access to this site and start work tomorrow (Monday 1st of February 2010). As part of my research into the timber industry in Scotland I have been looking at maps (via the Forestry Commission Scotland website). These maps can be viewed by clicking on the links below. I have also included some other links to research. This includes the Sawmill Survey 2000 and the Forest Industries Booklet for Scotland.
